Sierra was very excited for school to start. Midvalley Elementary sent us a letter that said they would be posting the students names and which teacher they would be getting. So all last week Sierra was praying and hoping that she would get Miss Jenkins. So the anticipation was killing her for WEDNESDAY 08/22/07 to come so that she would see who her teacher was. So when Dave got off of work on Wednesday, Sierra made him drive her to the school to see who her teacher was, as they were not posting it until 5pm. Dave drove her there and they went to see who the teacher was, and LO AND BEHOLD, it was Miss Jenkins.
So it was back to school night tonight 08/23/07 and Sierra got to see Miss Jenkins, and her desk, and got a little glimpse of what was expected of them at school, where to line up at, and where to hang their coats and backpacks. Sierra was so excited and she thinks this will be an awesome year too. Miss Jenkins has attended some seminars this summer and has lots of great ideas for this school year. This is Miss Jenkins 2nd year teaching 2nd grade so they will all be learning the ropes along the way. Sierra will start 2nd grade on Monday 08/27/07, so its early to bed and early to rise again, yuck. But I think Sierra is ready for school to start and is excited to do so.
