These are the infamous "Wedding shoes for Sierra"

These are the shoes Sierra ended up getting for the little black dress.
They even had a clear heel, wow I am a grown up now.

My Little Garden

Today we harvested two tomatoes and 5 jalapeno's and one bell pepper. My Cilantro is growing well and my Basil is going to town. My habaneros are growing by leaps and bounds and I have 4 flowers on my cucumber plant. I will get some photos for you, so you can see my green thumb well at work.

A Mountain View

Some photos of the great view of bear lake in the background.

More photos
It was beautiful.

My first time boating at bear lake

Sierra and her life jacket.
Sierra and Brienna and their life jackets.
Tony and AJ and Sierra and Jorge and Missy with the water rocket, waverunner, and boat.
Preston, Missy and Brienna, and Sierra, getting off the boat.

Sierra had never been on a boat, and she had a blast. At first she was scared to get on the boat and afterwards, we could not get her off of it.

The sky is usually so clear and beautiful but because of the forest fires nearby it was hazy as you can see in the photo's.

Our Friends and Family having fun together

My Truck at the campsite, and the girls getting water from the water spigot.
Marcy getting ready to make lunch, chorizo burritos are on the way.
Karen Bristol in red, Marcy in grey, Sierra in brown tank top, Dana Garcia in Black top and red sweats. We are all making breakfast this morning.
Jorge's truck and trailer and our shower and bathrooms in the little house behind.

We had invited our friends Karen Bristol and her granddaughter Kiersten, and Dana Garcia and her son Christian, also Cousin Tony Griego, AJ's friend Preston McPullin, and Eric their neighbor, Marcy and Jorge and their sons AJ and Joel, and daughter Brienna. AJ's girlfriend Missy, and myself and Sierra. We all had a great time and will have lots of memories of our summer trip.

Our little Tent Town and picnic area at Bear Lake

This is Dana's tent that we put up.
This is Marcy and Jorge's Tent, with the girls playing around by it.
The other green and grey tent is Mel Moleni's tent that we borrowed.
And this is My tent that Sierra and I slept in, and it was just perfect, not too big and not too small.
We got two spaces at the Rendezvous Beach State park and put up all our tents together, so they would be close. We stayed at the Birch Campgrounds, and at this camp site the park allows two tents per space reserved. We also had running water at each site and electricity, both 220v and 110 v. We also had hot showers, and flushing toilets. We had a picnic table and it was covered with a little pavillion, you can kind of see that in the first photo. We were very close to the shower bathroom place you can see that in the second and third photo its a little house looking thing. That is my kind of camping, electricity, water spigots at both sites ( and you could drink that water and it was good tasting), running water, and hot showers, and especially the flushing toilets. I sure am a rugged camper huh. Oh, and my air mattress too. ha ha.

BEAR LAKE 07/10/07 - 07/14/07

Tony enjoying the beach. Marcys neighbors let us borrow the little cabana, they worked out great. It was sunny and beautiful everyday.
Sierra, Kiersten and Brienna, frolicking in the water.
Sierra, Kiersten, and Brienna, floating the day away. They were having a blast.

We finally got to go to Bear Lake. We all played in the water which was pretty warm and it does not get deep for quite a ways, which was great for the girls to play in, we didn't have to worry about them a bit, that they were going to go under cause it was so shallow. The water was very blue and clear, we saw lots of schools of fish too. Marcy and Jorge took their boat and waverunner and all got to ride them. Marcy's neighbor gave them their water rocket, and the cabana's to use. Jorge had a tube and ski's to water ski and a wake board, and knee board.

Marcy and I planned the meals we had spaghetti and garlic bread the first night. Bagels, doughnuts and cereal the next morning. Soft Tacos for lunch. Hot Dogs and Hamburgers for Dinner. The next morning we had Chorizo and Egg Burritos, Left overs from our previous meals for lunch, Snowcones for snack, and Carne Asada for Dinner. The next morning it was bagels, cereal, and doughnuts and coffee for breakfast, and our final lunch after we packed up everything before we left was Sandwiches made from french bread loafs. We cut them up and packed them in a cooler and took them to the beach for our final play before pulling out and heading back to SLC. We all had a wonderful time, and we made our nightly firepit and roasted marshmallows and had smore's. The kids were all tired when we got home and we all crashed out and are unloading the trucks today. But before we left we got to get our Raspberry shake. As they grow the best Raspberry's at Bear Lake. Yum yum.

Stay tuned for next year its going to be more fun. If you want to go just let us know. Its about a 2 1/2 hr drive from SLC to Bear lake which is on the boarder of Utah and Idaho, and very near Wyoming.

The Wedding Cake

This is Ryan and Veronica's Cake. Their colors were Turquoise and Brown
Gotta love those sugar bubbles. I wanted to eat one, but they were gone. I heard they tasted like Rootbeer. Yum Yum

The Wedding Party

The minister was a good friend of Veronica and Ryan...also pictured was their groomsmen and best man
These are the bridesmaids of the wedding party

This is the water fall, it really looked alot bigger in person than it does on this photo. Very Beautiful
The Wedding was perfect. It had been 100 degrees and right before the wedding. The clouds rolled in and it cooled it right down for a bearable outdoor wedding. After the wedding was over and the photos taken, there was a downpour that cooled things down even more. The wedding was great, the wedding guests all had a wonderful time. Good times at the Hudson wedding.

Ryan & Veronica Hudsons Wedding 07/07/07

Veronica and Ryan saying their "Vows
Tony Walking his sister Veronica down the isle.
The "BIG" Day had arrived for Ryan Hudson and Veronica DeOllos to say their vows. Everyone has been looking forward to this day for a long time, and finally it had arrived. Ryan and Veronica have been planning for this day 07/07/07 for two years, and finally it had arrived. After dating for 6 years they finally made it official. The wedding was beautiful, lots of fresh flowers and a beautiful background. They were married at Millenium Falls, and they have a beautiful waterfall background and beautiful green backyard, and the inside was very big. Ryan and Veronica even saved up money to get the photo booth. You know the ones that you take the black and white or colored photos in with the little curtain. You could pose and the photos would come out and they pasted the photos in a book and you could write what you wanted on the pages that they were pasted on. It was pretty cool, that was the highlight of the wedding, I thought anyway. They got lots of cool photos and everyone had a fun time. We also got to dance to the music provided by a Local DJ. Lots of family attended, and Uncle Philip and Aunt JoAnn came, Uncle Johnny and Aunt Sharlene, Uncle Art and Aunt Vickie and their new grandson that Robbie and his girlfriend just had. We all had a wonderful time and Sierra wore her new dress and new shoes too. We all had fun. Congrats Ryan and Veronica Hudson. 07/07/07

"IMAGINE" Tribute Band to the Beatles

Dave and Sierra went to see this Band "Imagine". They are a tribute band to the Beatles. They were very good and Dave and Sierra were very impressed. They saw them at the Murray Park for the 4th of July, and also the fireworks to follow. Marcy and her family were there, Chenta and her family were there. Tony and Stacy and their family were there, and all had a wonderful time. To see more about "Imagine" see http://www.imaginefabfour.com/

The New Shoes

We have found the shoes that will match the dress perfectly. The wedding is the day after tomorrow (07/07/07) and we have hit the jackpot with the "PERFECT" shoes, and we both agree on them too. We found them at the new JCPenny's on 11600 S and Bangerter. They were the only JCPenny that carried them, and they were perfect, and they had her size too, which is amazing in itself. I will have photos tomorrow. Just thought I would let everyone know. The hunt, has ended. By the way, she is not "IN" the wedding just attending it, and we already have all this drama. Alternator Fixed

Dave got up early today and took out the alternator in the truck and had it tested at Auto Zone and replaced it, all in an hour and a half. Way to go Dave, now I can make it to work on time for my Mandatory OT. That is so great that he is so handy and knowledgable like that.

Sierras Contraversial Dress

This is the dress that Sierra and I have been having our talks about

She is such a girl and such a drama queen, especially in this dress. Aiii, Yii, Yii, Yiii

We are having an upcoming wedding in our family next Saturday 07/07/07. The colors that the bride chose for the wedding are brown and turquoise. I had previously purchased a dress for Sierra that was brown so that she could wear it in the future and it was something she liked. It was a bit more modest than this one. Well anyway, I had purchased it at Kohl's and when I purchased it they gave me $50.00 in credit to use anytime the next two weeks after my purchase. Well I had forgotten about this credit and I remembered about it on June 29th and it had to be used by June 30th. Sierra decided she wanted to go shopping with me as she usually gets to buy something. Well if you know Sierra, she is a fasion diva, she has to have the coolest, newest, most Hillary Duff, Hannah Montana, Raven, Cheetah Girl Fashions. So we get to the store and its decided that Sierra can spend $25 of the $50 credit. So she goes in there and looks around and she spots "THIS" dress. It was $50 and it was on sale for $22.69. She tries it on and its a little big, so she wanted a smaller size, well that was the smallest size. I told her "Why don't you look around maybe you can find something else". OH NO, there WAS NOTHING ELSE, she wanted "THAT" dress, AND she informed me she was going to wear it to the wedding instead of the other one. I advised her that she will either have to wear a shirt underneath cause its too big on top or we would have to do some alterations. She is not having the shirt underneath business at all, so alterations are going to be needed apparently. Now we have to find shoes, and OH MAN, they have to be heels and just the right ones too, she says. We have a small problem cause her foot is wide where her toes are and its hard to find that, but the rest of her foot is skinny. She inherited my wide foot up top. So now we are shoe hunting. If you see something cute out there that would match, let me know. We have only been to Ross, and Target before we started fighting about the shoes and we stopped. Aiii, Yii, Yii, I can hardly wait until she is a teenager and we are already fighting about clothes and shoes......Man am I in trouble, she is only 7........

Taylorsville Days and the Fireworks

Today was a long day. I was on my way to get my BBQ and my truck died. We thought it was the battery so we replaced it, and it drove fine. Went to get my BBQ, and drove around and then my truck was dying again. My air conditioner is not blowing as hard and drove around for quite a while. Then my clock in the truck started fritzing on and off, on and off. I think it is the Alternator. It seems like it is draining my battery. I will have to take it to Auto Zone to see if my alternator is almost dead. Thank goodness my dying truck made it home. It is my belief that I will have to replace the alternator, what a bummer. We did have on the agenda to go to Melanie Moleni's sister (Crystal's Wedding) however with this truck issue we were not able to go. However we did make it to see the Taylorsville Days Fireworks, which was very nice. It lasted about 30 min and Sierra loved every minute of it.
